The main level entertaining area is very spacious with a large sectional couch to fall into while enjoying the gas fireplace, music over the record player, and a few drinks with friends and family. On the opposite side of the living area is a ten-person dining room table paired with floor to ceiling original glass doors, perfect for making memories and good conversations. The full kitchen is on the back of the home with new appliances and is connected to the laundry/mudroom area leading out to the expansive fenced-in backyard. This home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms (4 full, 3 half) giving plenty of space to let your group spread out. Bedroom one is located on the main level. There is second half bath connected to the dining room to service the rest of the main level as well. Taking the staircase to the upstairs brings you to four more bedrooms and five bathrooms – all of which at least have a half bath setup in each room creating more privacy for each guest. Each bedroom has a window A/C unit, as well as a ceiling fan. Lots of room for all
Each bedroom having at least its own half-bath was very convenient, and the home was spotless. We enjoyed the proximity to nature preserves, wineries, breweries, and Mackinac Island (only 1/2 hour to the ferry). If it had been warmer, water sports were also nearby. The house had lots of space where we could all spread out or gather together. Two of our group had to work remotely and the wifi met their needs. This was such a great place and experience - I would highly recommend it!
The big advantage to the home is a private room and bathroom which we loved. Two did not have showers but there was one in hall. Everyone loved that.
It is an older property and could use some outside work. But the charming wrap around porch made it nice on a beautiful March weekend.
The place was clean except for two things we brought up to the owners. They promised to follow up on our concerns.
It is a nice property for a group of 10. We enjoyed our stay. Kids want to come back next year.
House was of sufficient size. We were 3 couples celebrating 75th and 70th birthdays.
The couch in the living room and the front porch furniture need to be replaced. Individual rocking chairs would be great. Living room couch seating was about a foot from the floor. Very difficult to get out of. Carpeting in bedrooms needs deep cleaning or replacement.
The kitchen was quite sufficient. We cooked a few meals in and had everything needed. The dining room was a great size.
Unfortunately we were so tired at night we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit. The backyard was very large and fenced
Management was very responsive for 2 small problems we had.
